Project OVERVIEW

CLIENT BACKGROUND

Alive Activities is the UK’s leading charity enriching the lives of older people in care and training their carers.

More information

Management Strategy

Working with the CEO to define the long-term growth strategy of Alive and understand what COVID-19 means for it's operations.

Service Design

Using design thinking to identify innovative service ideas with the broad objective of improving the lives of those in care homes.

Operating Model Design

Helping refine Alive's operating model to be inclusive of a scalable and more digital offering that allows for national expansion. Alive operates largely in the South West but if their services are available online the charity should be targeting all corners of the UK.

Competition Analysis & Market Entry Strategy

With barriers to entry having been significantly reduced, we're working with Alive to understand how they can remain the sector leader and competitive with innovation and ambitious growth strategies.

Client Testimonial

Isobel Jones, CEO of Alive Activities

"It has been a pleasure working with Will and his team. They have been very clear in what they have wanted to achieve and hard working in achieving the results.

Realising they couldn't make such a big impact on our initial goals meant they had to alter mid project, which they did skillfully! Showing us we were achieving and delivering well in a new area for us was a real highlight and gave the charity and team a real boost in difficult circumstances.

Their deliverables are of a high quality. The how to guide is incredibly useful. It is something we had planned on doing but had no resources to deliver it. I had had to furlough 85 percent of my staff to survive the pandemic! This will help us to deliver and sell our new online offering going forward and help break down the technology barriers we face. Again the production of data and excel spreadsheet for the on going cold calling is invaluable. We had begun to become more data driven in our marketing but this has taken us to the next level. It has enabled us to hit the ground running when I haven't had the resources to set this up myself.

Again the canvases in terms of strategy I will be using going forward. This has helped in guiding our ongoing strategy and the one page business model is perfect for our trustees.

It's been very positive experience and I thank Will and his team for their patience. They have seen what working from home in a pandemic has truly meant, with my children,  other meetings,  dogs and vets visits playing a part! They are very talented, bright, kind hearted, intelligent people who quickly got to grips with a complicated charity, in a very precarious position. I've been impressed by their work ethic and commitment and wish them all the best in their future careers."
